drunk chem e's are funny

so we had a very busy weekend - let's take a day-by-day look:

friday - GT night at Six Flags

way fun. i drove my brother and sister and their friends - funny kids. we rode several of the roller coasters, including the scream machine three times in a row. it was a bit more ricketly than i remember it being, but still probably my favorite ride in the park. my sister had rode every coaster in the park except the deja vu. so she and her friends got in line to ride (no way in hell was i getting on that thing). my parents also came, so i waited with them... and waited... and waited... 40 minutes later, we're thinking, surely they will be on it this time. we watch the ride start up, and after the first set of loops, when the coaster latches onto the seats and prepares to drop them again, it got stuck. now, mom was not too thrilled about this, as she was sure that my brother and sister were on it. we waited and watched and the ride remained stuck. people started to come out of the line, and we looked for kate and rob, but no dice. mom is now really starting to freak out. dad and i are trying to tell her it will be fine (i mean, this ride breaks down at least 7 times a day), but she was convinced they were stuck up there. dad and i went into the line and found kate and rob in the second group in line... waiting until it gets unstuck so they could ride. needless to say, mom was not too thrilled about this. but all ended well, as the people were unstuck (after about 15 minutes in the air) and kate got to ride and did not get stuck. fun times man, fun times.

saturday - GT vs. Samford, party at our house

i don't think anybody's in suspense as to whether we won that game... cause it's three days later and you probably already knew the outcome! hahaha! bu-dum-ching! .... hoo... yeah... so anyway, we won. not a remarkable game, pretty vanilla really. but it's still football, and football is awesome. we've got kickers who can actually kick. our QB has matured, and we've added some depth with his backup. PJ is as awesome as ever. so I think we're in decent shape. clemson will be interesting, and i'll be happy as long as it's close.

our cheering section needs some work, that's for sure. some people definitely need to look at the lyrics to our fight songs (i know you did kate, don't get mad at me). it was really hot, though, so i'm willing to cut some slack.

after the game, i walked allll the way across campus to get home to make food for our party, shower, pick up the keg, pick up a couple of shruti's friends, then come back and get the house ready. getting the keg was an adventure in and of itself - Green's was really busy, and basically neither Shruti nor I know anything about beer or kegs. right.

the party itself was fun. some of shruti's friends got reeallly drunk. pretty funny actually. we had a lot of alcohol and food in our house too. still do actually. the keg's sitting on our living room floor - still has a gallon of beer in it. sadly, it has gone bad. i'm planning on just taking it back to Green's like that. hope that's kosher and all.

sunday - aftermath

we had a good bit to clean-up actually. but it's probably a good thing, cause the house needed cleaning anyway. got some stuff put up in my room. *yawn*, boring. saw garden state again with kate and rob (see previous post)

that's about all there is. or at least all i remember at the moment.
